Endtime Entrepreneurs is an indie game studio AND a working music project. Two worlds, one composer, a cast of cartoon characters, and a quiet mission to make music worth coming back to.
Michael Clinesmith is the composer, game developer, and writer behind everything Endtime Entrepreneurs makes. He’s spent years building worlds you can play in — and writing the music that lives inside them.
Online he goes by AiryTheDragon, named after the cartoon dragon character that’s become the studio’s mascot and his composing persona. The dragon is on the album cover. The dragon is on Patreon. The dragon is, in a real sense, the brand.
His sheet music is published on Sheet Music Plus and Sheet Music Direct. He takes custom composition work through SoundBetter. And every couple of years, a new world arrives with its own original soundtrack.
Endtime Entrepreneurs sits at an unusual intersection: the indie game studio that also writes its own albums, and the music project that also ships indie RPGs. Most studios outsource the music. Most composers don’t build the games.
The two halves feed each other. Rebellion, the studio’s flagship game on Steam, is the world that gave birth to Piano Reveries — the 22-track album that became something bigger than soundtrack. In 2025, the Vassar City Band performed the album live as a full ensemble, taking the piano-led compositions into orchestra territory.
What you hear is what was always there: piano at the heart of every song, ranging from classical to flamenco, funk/soul to chillwave. Eight genres. Twenty-two tracks. One composer trying to give a small world a big sound.
Every world needs its heroes. Here are the characters that show up across the games, the music, and the brand.
The orange cartoon dragon you see across everything. Michael composes under this name. The dragon is also on the album cover — that’s him at the piano.
The hooded figure from Rebellion. Adventure, mystery, and the kind of energy that makes a piano theme worth writing.
Michael writes early piano pieces — Bb Melody, Minor Major 2, Lovely Night — that would eventually become part of the Piano Reveries album.
The indie RPG that gives the music its world goes live on Steam in beta. Soundtrack DLC follows.

The full 22-track studio album drops on the website, Spotify, Apple Music, and as soundtrack DLC on Steam. The story keeps going.
Beyond Piano Reveries and Rebellion, here’s where else you can find Michael’s work.
